Preparation and Safety

Cooking instructions

To oven cook from chilled. Before cooking: Preheat oven to 200°C / 180°C Fan / Gas Mark 6. Remove joint from packaging and set aside sachet for later use. Remove and discard plastic cap from bone end of joint and place joint on a foil lined baking tray. Cover with foil. During cooking: Cook in centre of the oven for 2 hours 30 minutes. Remove from oven, take foil off joint and save for later use. Pour away excess juices and spread the chutney from the sachet carefully over the surface of the joint. Return to oven for a further 10 minutes. After cooking: Loosely re-cover joint with foil and allow to rest for 10 mins before carving. Check food is piping hot throughout and all juices run clear.   • This product is not suitable for rare cooking. Do not undercook raw meat. Keep raw meat separate from cooked foods. Use separate kitchen utensils and surfaces for raw meat and cooked foods or wash them thoroughly between use. Wash hands after handling raw meat. Raw meat may contain organisms hazardous to health. Cook thoroughly until piping hot throughout and the juices run clear. If not fully cooked in accordance with the instructions harmful bacteria may remain.

Storage

For use by date: see front of pack. Keep refrigerated, once opened consume within 1 days and do not exceed the use by date. For best Quality, freeze as soon as possible after purchase and always within the use by date. Once frozen consume within 1 months. Once defrosted use the same day. Defrost thoroughly and consume within 24 hours. Do not refreeze once defrosted.
