Preparation and Safety
Before Cooking:- Remove joint from packaging and allow to breathe at room temperature for up to 30 minutes, Preheat oven to 200C/Fan 180C/ Gas 6. Remove butters from the top of the joint and place to one side, Heat a pan with10 ml of oil and sear the joint, Place on baking tray, cover with foil and place into the oven
During Cooking:- Place on baking tray, cover with foil and place into the pre heated oven at 200C/Fan 180C/ Gas 6 with the topping facing up. To cook rare 45 minutes, Medium 55 minutes. Well Done 1 hour 40 minutes. 5 minutes before end of cook time. Remove foil and place butters on top of joint. Return to oven
After Cooking:- Remove from oven and allow to rest for 30 minutes before serving, Place butters in microwaveable dish and heat until melted. Whisk and pour over the sliced joint. check food is piping hot. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only
- Keep raw meat separate from cooked foods. Use separate kitchen utensils and surfaces for raw meat and cooked foods or wash them thoroughly between use. Wash hands after handling raw meat. This product should be cooked throughout until piping hot and no pink colour remains.
For best Quality, freeze as soon as possible after purchase and always within the use by date. Once frozen consume within 3 months. Once defrosted use the same day Defrost thoroughly and consume within 24 hours. Do not refreeze once defrosted.
