Preparation and Safety

Cooking instructions

To oven cook from chilled. Before cooking: Preheat oven to 200°C. / Fan 180°C / Gas 6. Remove joint from packaging and place on a foil lined baking tray. Set sachet aside for later use. Lightly cover the gammon with foil. During cooking: Cook in the centre of the oven for 2 hr 25 mins. Remove joint from oven, remove foil and carefully pour away any excess cooking juices. Pour glaze over gammon and return to the oven for a further 10 mins. After cooking: Allow joint to rest for 5-10 mins before carving. Check food is piping hot throughout and all juices run clear. This is a guide only. All cooking appliances vary.

  • This product is not suitable for rare cooking. Do not undercook raw meat. Keep raw meat separate from cooked foods. Use separate kitchen utensils and surfaces for raw meat and cooked foods or wash them thoroughly between use. Wash hands after handling raw meat. Raw meat may contain organisms hazardous to health.
