Cooking instructions
Oven cooked from chilled 200°C / Fan 180°C/ Gas 7. 55 mins
Before Cooking: Preheat oven. Remove product from box and place the gravy sachet to one side. Decant turkey joint with cooking juices into a foil tray provided. Loosely cover with foil and place tray on top shelf of the oven. Set timer for 55 minutes.
During cooking: After 5 minutes of cooking the turkey, decant parsnips and carrots from the pouch onto a flat baking tray and spread evenly. Place tray on the lower shelf of the oven and cook for 50 minutes. Decant potatoes from the pouch onto another baking tray and spread evenly. Place potatoes tray on top shelf of the oven next to turkey and cook for 25 minutes. At 30 minutes remaining cook time, decant pigs in blankets onto small, flat baking tray. Place tray on the lower shelf of the oven next to parsnips and carrots and cook for 15 minutes.
At 20 minutes remaining cook time, remove turkey and potatoes from the oven. Discard the foil from turkey tray and turn the potatoes. Return both trays to oven for further 20 minutes.
At 15 minutes remaining cook time, remove pigs and blankets from oven, turn and return to oven for final 15 minutes.
At 5 minutes remaining cook time, decant the gravy into a sauce pan and heat over medium-low heat for 2 minutes 30 seconds stirring throughout until hot.
After cooking: Remove all trays from the oven and rest for 2 minutes before serving. Move turkey joint onto a carving board and slice. Serve on a plate with potatoes, parsnips, carrots and pigs in blankets. Pour gravy over the meal or serve on side. Turkey and pigs in blankets may be slightly pink after cooking due to the curing salt in the bacon.
Check food is piping hot. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only. Do not reheat.
