Preparation and Safety

Cooking instructions

Oven cook from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking.

Before cooking: Preheat oven 180°C/Fan 160°C/Gas 5. Remove all packaging. Place lamb onto a roasting tray and leave at room temperature for 20 mins.

During Cooking: Place on the middle shelf of the oven. Cook for 55 mins (to serve medium). Cook for 1hour 5 mins (to serve well done).

After Cooking: Remove from oven and loosely cover with foil, allow to rest for 5 mins. Place lamb onto a chopping board and using a sharp non-serrated knife, cut between the bones to serve. This product should be cooked until piping hot throughout. All appliances vary. This is a guide only. If cooked rare there is a small risk that harmful bacteria may be present.


  • Keep raw meat separate from cooked foods. Use separate kitchen utensils and surfaces for raw meat and cooked foods or wash them thoroughly between use. Wash hands after handling raw meat. This product should be cooked throughout until it is piping hot throughout.


For use by date: see front of pack. Keep refrigerated, once opened consume within 1 days and do not exceed the use by date. For best Quality, freeze as soon as possible after purchase and always within the use by date. Once frozen consume within 1 months. Once defrosted use the same day Do not refreeze once defrosted
