Description
Based on the classic French recipe, our hearty beef bourguignon is slow cooked for a real depth of flavour. We make it with succulent British beef chuck, mellow red wine, plenty of chunky chestnut mushrooms, sweet whole shallots and smoky bacon lardons. It's perfect for those times you need something rich and comforting but elegant - and easy - enough for when you're feeding friends. Simply heat through in the oven and serve piping hot. Delicious with our buttery ready-prepared creamy potato mash and a colourful mix of tender steamed broccoli, Chantenay carrots and green beans.

Cooking instructions
Oven cooked from chilled. 200ºC / Fan 180ºC / Gas 6. 40 minutes.
If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking.
Before cooking: Preheat oven. Remove product from box. Decant product from pouch into an ovenable tray and cover with foil. Place tray in the centre of the oven and cook for 30 minutes.
During cooking: Remove from oven. Remove foil and gently stir. Return to the oven for the final 10 minutes.
After cooking: Check food is piping hot. Do not reheat.
