Description

Turkey Crown joint is hand prepared, firstly rubbed with seasonal mulled spices, stuffed with a Pork, caramelised shallot & pancetta stuffing. It's then topped with a dry cured oak smoked streaky bacon, a thyme butter is added to enhance and baste during cooking. To finish off the centre piece, there is a rich turkey jus glaze

Cooking instructions

Oven cook from chilled only.
Time 40 mins per kg + 30 mins. 180°C / Fan 160°C / Gas 4
If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly in a refrigerator before cooking.

Before cooking: Refer to weight label on the front of the pack for the specific roasting time. Preheat oven. Remove outer box and bag. Place sachet to one side and place butter on top of the turkey crown and cover loosely with foil. Place on a roasting tray on the middle shelf of the oven..

During cooking: After 1 hour remove foil and baste crown with juices. Baste regularly during cooking. For the final 10 minutes of cooking pour turkey gravy from the sachet over the crown

After cooking:Once cooked, remove from the oven. Always ensure the product is piping hot throughout, the juices run clear when a skewer is inserted and no pink colour remains in the deepest part of the flesh. Leave to rest for 20 minutes prior to carving. Decant any excess glaze and juices into a pan and bring to a simmer to pour over sliced meat.

Storage

For use by date: see front of pack.
Carefully follow storage instructions.
Keep Refrigerated at -2C to +4C.
Store uncooked meat covered and lower in the refrigerator than cooked meat.
Once opened cook within 24 hours and do not exceed the use by date.
Suitable for freezing. Freeze as soon as possible after purchase and always within the use by date. Once frozen use within 1 month.
