Description
We love the mix of mellow fruitiness and savoury intensity in this dish. We start by taking plump British duck legs and seasoning them with an aromatic garlic and herb rub. Then we cook them slowly for three and a half hours until the meat is meltingly succulent, with a rich, concentrated flavour. Simply pop the legs in the oven for 25 minutes to crisp their skins, then pour over our red wine, plum and blackberry sauce. Served with our creamy potato dauphinoise, it's hard to beat.

Oven cook from chilled but can also be cooked in the microwave.
Oven cook from chilled: Time 30 mins 220°C / Fan 200°C / Gas 7 If freezing at home defrost thoroughly before cooking.
Before cooking: Preheat oven. Remove all packaging and set aside sauce sachet for later use. Place duck legs into an ovenproof dish. Place on the middle shelf of oven and cook for 25 minutes.
During cooking: Remove from oven, discard any cooking juices and add sachet of sauce. Place tray back in the oven and cook for a further 5 minutes.
After cooking: Remove from the oven. Check food is piping hot.
