Cooking instructions
Oven cook from chilled.
If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking.
Preheat the oven to Electric 180°C/Fan 180°C/Gas Mark 6. Medium 30 mins per 500g. Before cooking: Remove packaging and allow to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes. Preheat a frying pan to a high heat. Brush the tomahawk with 5ml of oil and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
During cooking: Sear all sides in a hot pan for 5 minutes. Place the steak in a roasting dish and place in the centre of the pre-heated oven and cook for 25 minutes plus rare 15 minutes per 500g, medium 20 minutes per 500g and well done 30 minutes per 500g. Apply the contents of the sachet over the top of the steak for the last 10 minutes of cooking time.
After cooking: Remove from oven and leave to rest for 10 minutes. This product should be cooked until piping hot throughout. If cooking rare, check the surface is fully seared/browned.
