Description
Our slow cooked proper Christmas dinner box all starts with the main event. We brine our
turkey breast in a carefully crafted buttermilk brine before topping with our taste the
difference chestnut and thyme stuffing and wrapping in dry cured bacon. We then slow cook
the turkey to deliver exceptional tenderness and succulence.
We also include a mix of your favourite Christmas trimmings. Our Maris Piper potatoes are
slow cooked in beef fat and served alongside carrots and parsnips that have been drenched
in honey & thyme. We also include our taste the difference proper pigs in blankets made
with dry cured bacon and our taste the difference sausage recipe. We then tie it all together
with a rich turkey gravy.

Oven cooked from chilled 200°C / Fan 180°C/ Gas 7. 55 mins
Before Cooking: Preheat oven. Remove product from box and place the gravy sachet to one side. Decant turkey joint with cooking juices into a foil tray provided. Loosely cover with foil and place tray on top shelf of the oven. Set timer for 55 minutes.
During cooking: After 10 minutes
Decant potatoes and parsnips onto a baking tray, spread out evenly and place onto the middle shelf of the oven. Roast for 45 min.
After 25 minuts
Decant pigs in blankets on a separate small baking tray and place on the top shelf of the oven next to the turkey. Roast for 10 minutes.
After 35 minutes
Remove all trays from the oven. Turkey Joint: Discard foil from turkey, drain all cooking juices and return to oven uncovered. Parsnips, potatoes & pigs in blankets: Turn and return to the oven. Roast for 20 minutes.
After 40 minutes
Heat up water in medium-large pan. Place sealed pouch of carrots and turkey gravy into the pan and simmer for 15 minutes. Carefully decant and serve alongside turkey and other trimmings.
Serving time:
Move turkey to a carving board and slice.
Plate up with roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots and pigs in blankets.
Pour hot gravy over the meal or serve on the side.
Note: When cooked some pinking may remain on the surface of the turkey and sausages due to being in contact with the bacon. This is a natural occurrence and completely safe.
