Oven cook from chilled 210°C / Fan 200°C / Gas 7 50 mins
Oven cook from chilled.
Before cooking: Preheat oven. To ensure pastry remains crisp, keep wellington in the fridge until the oven has reached temperature. Remove from fridge and remove carton and film lid. Set aside sachet for later use. Use the greaseproof paper to lift the wellington carefully out of the tray. Place on a preheated baking tray on the middle shelf of the oven.
After cooking: Remove the wellington from the oven and leave to rest for 15 minutes. While the wellington is resting, transfer the contents of the sauce sachet into small saucepan. Warm over a moderate heat and bring up to a simmer for 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Slice the wellington and serve the sauce alongside.
This product should be cooked until piping hot throughout. If cooked rare there is a small risk that harmful bacteria may be present. All appliances vary. This is a guide only.
