Dark crimson red, this rich, smooth but robust Primitivo marries velvety soft tannins with concentrated blueberry and plum flavours and a hint of sweet spicy oak. This wine is carefully created using Primitivo grapes, one of Italy's oldest indigenous grape varieties, from the picturesque vineyards of Castello Monaci located in the Salento region of Puglia. The warm, sunny climate helps to produce a smooth, full-bodied wine with an abundance of ripe juicy fruit flavours that are complemented by light oak. A versatile wine that goes well with roasted red meats or spicy pasta dishes.
