Cooking instructions

Oven cook from chilled only.
200°C / Fan 180°C / Gas 6. 60 mins per kg

If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly in a refrigerator before cooking.

Before Cooking: Refer to the weight label on the front of the pack for the specific roasting time. Preheat your oven. Remove all packaging except foil tray, loosely cover the foil tray with a large piece of foil making a dome over the top of the turkey. Place on a baking tray and place in the centre of the oven.

During Cooking: Baste the turkey with the cooking juices and rotate the tray every 30 minutes. Remove the foil 30 minutes before the end of the cooking time, baste and return to the oven to allow the skin to become golden brown.

After cooking: Once cooked, remove the turkey crown from the oven, check food is piping hot, and no pink colour remains. Cover with foil and allow to rest for 30 mins before carving.

  • Don't wash raw poultry.
    Keep raw poultry separate from cooked foods.
    Use separate kitchen utensils and surfaces for raw poultry and cooked foods or wash them thoroughly in between use. Wash hands after handling raw poultry.
    Do not stuff the turkey crown– the stuffing must be cooked separately.
    Always ensure product is piping hot throughout and the juices run clear when a skewer is inserted into the deepest part of the breast.
    Must be cooked according to the cooking instructions. Plastic bags can be dangerous. To avoid danger of suffocation, please keep this bag away from babies and small children.

Storage

For use by date: see front of pack.
Carefully follow storage instructions.
Do not exceed the use by date.
Keep Refrigerated at -2C to +4C.
Store uncooked meat covered and lower in the refrigerator than cooked meat.
Suitable for freezing. Freeze as soon as possible after purchase and always within the use by date. Once frozen use within 1 month. Do not refreeze once defrosted.
