Description
Sainsbury's So Organic free range turkeys area slower grown bronze breed, specially
selected for a tasty succulent meat, rich in flavour. The birds are free to roam on British
farms that meet organic standards of welfare. The traditional bronze turkey breed has darker
feathers, which when plucked may leave coloured marks on the skin. This is natural and
these will not effect the quality and will reduce in appearance upon cooking.

Cooking instructions
Oven cooked from chilled. 180°C / Fan 160°C / Gas 4. 40 mins per kg + 60 mins
Refer to the weight label on the front of the pack for the specific roasting time. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly in a refrigerator before cooking.
Before Cooking: Preheat your oven. Remove all packaging except foil tray, loosely cover the foil tray with a large piece of foil making a dome over the top of the turkey. Place on a baking tray and place in the centre of the oven.
During Cooking: Baste the turkey with the cooking juices and rotate the tray every 30 minutes. Remove the foil 30 minutes before the end of the cooking time, baste and return to the oven to allow the skin to become golden brown.
After Cooking: Once cooked, remove the turkey crown from the oven, check food is piping hot, and no pink colour remains. Cover with foil and allow to rest for 30 mins before carving. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only
