Cooking instructions

Oven cook from chilled: 200°C / Fan 180°C / Gas 6 1 hrs 45mins

Before cooking: Preheat oven. Remove all packaging and set the seasoning sachet to one side. Place the joint on a foil lined roasting tin. Cover the meat loosely with foil. Place on the middle shelf of the oven.
During cooking: Cook for 1 hour 10 minutes removing the foil after 1 hour. Remove from oven, empty the contents of the seasoning sachet evenly over the joint and place back in the oven for another 35 minutes.
After cooking: Remove the joint from the oven and allow to rest for 15 minutes before carving. Carefully remove the strings with scissors. Check food is piping hot throughout, all juices run clear and no pink colour remains.

  • This product is not suitable for rare cooking.
    Do not undercook raw meat.
    Keep raw meat separate from cooked foods.
    Use separate kitchen utensils and surfaces for raw meat and cooked foods or wash them thoroughly between use.

    Cook thoroughly until piping hot throughout, no pink colour remains and the juices run clear.
    If not fully cooked in accordance with the instructions harmful bacteria may remain.

Storage

For use by date: see front of pack.
Keep refrigerated. Once opened, use immediately and do not exceed the use by date.
For best quality, freeze as soon as possible after purchase and always within the use by date. Once frozen consume within 2 months.
Once defrosted use the same day. Do not refreeze once defrosted.
